About Digital Downloads

The items in the menu above are digital downloads, i.e. the image that you purchased is downloaded to your computer hard drive in the form of a jpg file. The advantages to you from purchasing a digital file rather than the physical print itself are:

1: You receive the source file that you can print as often as you like.
2: You can print the file yourself at home.
3: You can have the file printed by a local commercial printer.
4: However, by far the biggest advantage is that what you receive is the original very large file, e.g., sometimes in sizes of up 60 x 90 inches (1523 x 2286 mm) in both landscape (horizontal) and portrait (vertical) modes, and 90 x 90 inches (2286 x 2286 mm) for a square format image. Therefore a local commercial printer can print the file as large or as small as you like as long as you don’t change the aspect ratio of the file itself. And being local any print issues that may arise can be dealt with in person.

About the numbers attached to the names

The name of each image on this site ends with three number, such as: 24x24x300. The first two numbers (24x24) indicate that the image has been created to be printed as a square with the dimensions of 24 inch (68.58cm) x 24 (58.58cm). A numbering of 60x90 indicates that the image can be printed as large as 60 (152.4cm) x 90 (228.6cm) inches. The last of the three nunmbers, 300, indicates that the image has been created using 300 dots per inh (dpi) as the standard. This is the industry benchmark for quality printing.
